Housing: Plenty of safe housing. Many students live at home but first years in student flats in Murano Street student village. Others rent flats through agencies. Rent prices vary according to location.

Eats: Canteen and cafe bar open to students, staff or the public.

Drinks: Trader Joes and Wetherspoons.

Nightlife: Clubbing suits all tastes. Garage, Walkabout, Strathclyde Union, the Shack and Jumpin Jacks are some favourites.

Sports: Access to nearby gyms and cheap swimming tickets bought from college.

Jobs: Part-time, minimum wage work easy to find. Job centres nearby and opportunity for students to usher at shows/concerts in the college. Some students get professional work.

Hardship funds: Hardship funds and loans are available and many students enter various competitions throughout the year.
