Housing: Uni accommodation good. Otherwise West End, Southside and Dennistoun areas popular; help from student services accommodation department, look on noticeboards, Evening Times, The Herald.
Eats: Wide range of food at cheap prices at union diner, pies to pizzas (£2.10). Lots of cheap fast food and restaurants around city.
Drink: Union for good cheap drinks, £1.50 a pint (usually £1 a bottle if promo). Tennents popular local brew. Nightlife: Discos and karaoke, bands and events weekly.
Locals: Very friendly (mostly students as well).
Sports: 30 clubs, skiing to sub aqua. Good indoor facilities including state-of-the-art gym; but no pool or outdoor facilities.
Travel: Campus next to underground, bus station and two central train stations.
Financial help: Short-term loans and access fund, and fund for direct emergencies.
Jobs: Jobspot on campus advertises vacancies - useful and popular.
Informal name: The Caley.
Best features: Student Association.
And worst: No outdoor sports facilities.
