Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) Edinburgh Campus - Student View
4 miles to the south of the city centre (on the Edinburgh University science site, King's Building), and a great place to live and study.
City is steeped in history and culture and there are some great pubs and clubs to complement student life (particularly Wednesday night, when city is alive with students).
SAC students can join all Edinburgh Uni sports clubs (from rugby and riding to hockey and hot air ballooning). Union is joint with agricultural students from Edinburgh University and is the hub of social activity; an action-packed calendar, ranging from go-karting nights to weekends in Dublin, and excellent rugby and hockey teams.
SAC has diversified from straight agriculture and courses now include rural resource management, environmental protection and management and horticulture with plantmanship - designed in consultation with industry.
Farming/agricultural facilities on Bush Estate, 7 miles from main campus. Excellent teaching staff, with first-hand industrial and research experience.
