It's based in Horsforth, a short bus or train ride from Leeds city centre.

Large number of joint and single honours degrees, all accredited by Leeds University, as are the growing number of postgraduate courses.

Began life as a teacher training college and still has a strong education provision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Also faculties in arts and social sciences, management and media. Emphasis on gaining a rounded education, so many of the joint honours programmes combine a professional subject (eg management) with academic subject (history). Also six-week professional attachments in first and second years enhance prospects on graduation.

Self-contained campus with 9 halls of residence for first years; majority are catered, though self-catered available too; most second and third year students live in popular areas of Headingley, Burley and Kirkstall.

Increasing number of local students live off campus. New learning centre provides large library stock as well as 24-hour ITC facilities.

Students' Union has bar and nightclub, which regularly hosts bands and DJs. Free buses available throughout the week to take students to various nightclubs in Leeds.

Large number of union sports clubs and societies, including drama, football and rugby. Students well supported by the Union, as well as the college's own counselling, chaplaincy and other student support services.
