Housing: Plenty in Horsforth, Headingley, Burley and Kirkstall. Look on noticeboards around campus.

Eats: On campus, meals mostly included in room charge. Off campus, Gianni's, The Outside Inn, Moghul, Burger King all cheap.

Drink: College bar (beer £1.50+ a pint, lager £1.60+). Many good pubs and clubs, particularly in Leeds.

Nightlife: Evolution, Creation, Heaven & Hell, Majestyk, Bondai Beach, all with good prices and student nights.

Locals: Very friendly.

Sports: 22 clubs and societies.

Travel: Metro cards for local bus and train (£11 a week, £33 a month).

Financial help: Available (through Dean of Students).

Jobs: Pubs, restaurants, pizza places, fast food and call centres.

Informal name: TASC.

Best features: Leeds is busy city; uni is small, personal.

And worst: Weather.
