Bradford College - Student Life
Housing: Many cheap properties available (but beware of standards). Many students spend 2 years in college accommodation.
Eats: Meals from £2 on campus (including Big Breakfast). Can get a large meal for £3-£4 locally at eg Walkabout, Revolution, Lunch Box, Love Apple.
Drink: Union building has cheap drinks (from £1 a pint) and promos; no question, best in town. Several large student-orientated pubs in easy reach of campus; The Sound Gallery cheap. Tetleys local brew.
Nightlife: SU has regular club night and events (eg Comedy Club, DFD at the union); few bands. Bradford Film Theatre and Pictureville for ultimate independent releases, new and old. Queen's Hall, Chicago's and The Sound Gallery good student clubs.
Sports: Full range of sports facilities, mostly shared with university.
Locals: Friendly. Area is student-friendly (though city centre sometimes not good at weekends).
Travel: Cheap buses, trains and taxis.
Financial help: Limited funds for the very desperate via college student services.
Jobs: Plenty about, if you look, on and off campus.
Best features: Union and Student Services.
And worst: Lack of sports facilities.
