Chichester University College - Student Life
Housing: Many 1st years in Chichester halls (some ensuite/some shared). Find accommodation off-campus through word of mouth, noticeboards, student services.
Eats: Food on campus good value (meal for £2.50). Selection of restaurants/cafes, meals for up to £10, eg McDonald's, pasta places, local pubs.
Drink: Bars on both campuses very cheap (from £1.60 a pint). Good pubs eg Wetherspoons in both towns. Bishops Tipple good local brew.
Nightlife: Bands, club nights, promos theme nights, balls, films and plays. Bognor (typical seaside town) offers more club life than Chichester.
Locals: Reasonably friendly. All areas accessible. Sports: College sport excellent; both towns have leisure centres, pools, and local teams.
Travel: Hitching difficult. Cycling most popular travel.
Financial help: Fairly good. Access funds and hardship loans available for those who need it most.
Jobs: SU bar work, shop and security work in town; college-run jobshop plus agencies.
Best features: The friendliest college; good community spirit.
And worst: You won't want to leave!
