Newcastle claims to be the best city in the UK and one of the best party cities in the world! Campus is in city centre, with excellent access to public transport including the metro, and many places within walking distance. Coach Lane Campus is satellite site, only a few miles from the city centre; free bus runs regularly between two sites during the day.

A number of halls, self and fully catered at reasonable prices, mostly on or near city site. Most first years get university accommodation; thereafter, students find there is an abundance of cheap quality housing in safe areas.

Campus facilities are excellent, including large library and new IT centre. Highly successful athletic union, with a recently refurbished gym and a number of high class sports teams.

Uni offers a huge range of courses; many tutors are sympathetic to early changes in subjects. Most courses are on a semester basis and assessed by a mix of assignments and exams. Support and advice from Students Services department (also oversees housing accreditation scheme, counselling service, study skills, welfare advice and health centres).

Students' Union offers high-quality and varied entertainments programme and value for money bars and food outlets. Also supports wide variety of extra-curricular activities eg LGB, radio, film, drama music, apres-ski, religious and international societies.

Most places in city centre have a student night and there's lots going on during the day. It's only a bus/train ride from Europe's largest shopping complex, the Metro Centre. There is an eclectic mix of students and the locals are friendly.
