Eats: In the union, HUB grub is changing and improving; caters for all dietary needs.
Drink: Union bar one of the cheapest with daily promotions and events. The HUB, in the union, has wide range of drinks and lively atmosphere.
Nightlife: Union holds 3 sell-out nights with Stardust for 70s, 80s cheese, and SHEFF1 is the cheapest Saturday night in Sheffield. For alternative music Re-Volt (Indie/rock) and MUTE:8 (drum and bass) held weekly.
Locals: Very welcoming to students, no problem areas near Uni.
Sports: Athletic Union with 35+ different sports (rugby to skydiving).
Travel: University and union opposite train and bus stations and large taxi rank; student travel discounts available.
Jobs: Plenty of the usual - pubs, clubs, temping; bar/catering/security jobs at the union.
Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition fees) is £5000 (in uni or private accommodation).
