Housing: 1st and 3rd year guaranteed live in; most live out in 2nd.

Eats: One payment per term of £284 covers 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. Lots of places off-site.

Drink: £1.70 a pint in college bar. Close cheap bar at Union.

Nightlife: Many JCR organised events. Cinemas, theatres, nightclubs a stone's throw away.

Locals: Most areas safe with indifferent locals, New Inn Hall Street is not well-lit and can be dangerous late at night.

Travel: College travel grants and scholarships.

Financial help: University access fund; college hardship fund easily accessible. Academic and choral scholarships.

Jobs: Term-time work discouraged but long vacations to allow for work.

Best features: Social atmosphere.

And worst: Not as rich as some colleges.

Good news: Modern lodge, 24 hour library access, new law library.
