St Hugh's - Student View

One of the largest, most diverse colleges based 10 minutes from town in 14 acres of sumptuous grounds.

Claims to be the most successfully mixed college, 50:50 men to women, with many international students. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and a good sense of community with all students able to live in for the duration of their course.

Possible to change course before start of course, otherwise you drop a year. Extensive facilities include an excellent 24-hour library, 3 computer rooms, common room, recently renovated bar and gym.

All students have superb cooking facilities in their accommodation (unlike any other college). Rent buys you a room for one term plus the week preceding it. Hugh's students can also be accommodated during the vacation.

JCR provides a wealth of entertainments: fortnightly parties, bar quizzes, yoga, dinners and trips away. Students excel in most fields of the university especially drama, fundraising, basketball, dancing and music.
