Housing: College accommodation (in college and 2 annexes) for 2 years. 2nd years live out (look in JCR housing file, noticeboards).

Eats: Food improving in college; always vegetarian option (meal £1.50+). Must eat a compulsory number of breakfasts and dinners if living in. Excellent guest nights (fierce competition for limited tickets). Loads of restaurants and curry houses in town, wide variety of prices (Friends, Chutney, Le Petit Blanc good).

Drink: Lively and friendly college bar; pint from £1.50+. Morrells is good brew.

Nightlife: Wolfson Hall in college (largest student venue in Oxford), used to the full: discos, bops, LGB nights, Blind Date, charity events; videos in the JCR. Student clubs, Coven, Fifth Avenue, Zodiac.

Locals: Friendly (though little contact).

Sports: Good sport, especially athletics, rugby, football, netball and rowing. Boathouse. Other facilities have to be borrowed/rented; however, what it lacks in facilities it makes up for in team spirit.

Travel: JCR refunds taxi fare after dark. Limited vacation travel grants available.

Financial help: Some available (depends on individual circumstances).

Jobs: Bar work in term time; work in holidays eg porters or through agencies (lots about).

Best features: Campaign activities; wide variety of interests; friendly.

And worst: Small college: old-fashioned.

Informal name: Teddy Hall.

Good news: New international students' hardship fund. All bedrooms have internal phone and internet connections.
