Founded: 1879; male undergraduates first admitted in 1994.

Admission: Undergraduates not admitted for anthropology, geography, theology, earth sciences, economics & management, fine art, materials science, history & politics.

Scholarships: Various scholarships and exhibitions, both open and closed (usually £200 and £150 pa respectively), awarded at any time in an undergraduate's career for work of especial merit; also Bousfield Scholarships, for candidates from GDST schools.

Travel grants: Various grants and awards.

Library & information services: Over 100,000 volumes, with strong science, history, literature, languages and philosophy collections; computer terminals and microfilm/fiche reader. Separate college library and IT services. Ratio workstations to students 117, IT facilities open 24 hours/day. 110 points with access to library, all college rooms connected to the ethernet. 2 full time IT support staff .

Eating arrangements: Cafeteria system in hall. Meals paid for on cash basis. Gate/guest hours: Undergraduates have keys.

Other college facilities: JCR bar, gym, croquet, 2 new boats, organ and several pianos. Small independent nursery for children of college members.

Accommodation: Most students live in college accommodation, all first years and final years who choose it. 285 places available (120 for first years). Annual average charge £2100 for room only; average meal costs £7 per day. Most second year students live in privately owned accommodation.

Financial help: Limited funds available for unexpected financial difficulties.
