Housing: Very good, many rooms recently refurbished.

Drink: Cheap (£1.70 a pint).

Eats: Good college food, incl vegetarian options; reasonably priced (meal from £2). Several popular, cheap kebab vans in town; meal for £2-£3 in Kings Arms.

Nightlife: Frequent parties in college; many cheap JCR events in refurbished venue (JCR has own PA and drum kit). Always plethora of interesting student plays in Oxford, discounted student tickets.

Sports: Good but relaxed. Rowing very strong in recent years. Squash and tennis courts and 5-a-side football pitch on-site. Small fitness room with ergos and multigym on site (£10 pa); good facilities.

Travel: Cheap travel by bike. Holiday fund in memory of a former undergraduate for students who have recently been unable to afford a good holiday.

Financial help: Principal's fund and JCR living-out fund. All LMH students eligible for a limited loan (c.£150) from SCR. Good college system of advertising external hardship funds.

Jobs: 7% work during term time; college jobs pool helps those who really need to. Most work in vacation; some work in college (helping with conferences and in library).

Best features: Very, very friendly; own punts; loads of space; tolerant, sociable and academic atmosphere.

And worst: Long walk home after nights out (particularly in winter).

Good news: Punt refurbishments underway.
