Housing: All years guaranteed accommodation (all first years, most final years on-site). Limited married accommodation.
Eats: College food cheap and improving, usually veggie options; meal about £2.30. Huge variety in town, Incl The Wheatsheaf, Mitre, Le Petit Blanc (prices from £3-£40).
Drink: Cheap, student-run college bar (beer £1.50 a pint), usually packed. 30 seconds to the King's Arms. Banks, Smoothpour beers.
Nightlife: Regular college bops, karaoke, video showings and joint events with other colleges; live jazz and classical music in college. Student clubs Zodiac, Po-Na-Na, Purple Turtle.
Locals: Variable; no problems unless you have the wrong attitude.
Sports: College sports ground 1 1/2 miles from college. Squash courts, grass tennis courts, gym (on-site) and new boathouse. Football traditionally strong.
Travel: Occasional travel grants eg blues players.
Financial help: University access funds. Keasbey and Alumni grants for Hertford students.
Jobs: Many work in college bar; otherwise not allowed in term time (not really enough time).
Best features: Diversity of people; friendly atmosphere.
