Exeter - Student Life

Housing: Good rooms in college for all first years and half of finalists (usually sets, ie bedroom-sitting room combinations for finalists); all have internet connections. Others live out in the Cowley Road area or in college hostels (5-10 minute bike ride from college).

Eats: Food in hall improved recently (breakfast 90p, lunch £1.30 and a 3-course served dinner £2.10). Alternatives include kebab vans, restaurants and Oxford's best sandwich shops, all within metres of the college.

Drinks: College bar (pints £1.40). Sports: College sports grounds (rugby and football pitches and squash courts), 10-minute bike ride from college, boathouse a 10-minute walk.

Financial help: College hardship grants (easy for deserving students to obtain), and travel grants.

Best features: Location; Fellows' Garden and view of Radcliffe Square.

And worst: Shortage of rooms in college and some of the college hostels aren't great.
