Corpus Christi - Student View
Its strength lies in its size: one of Oxford's smallest colleges. Good situation within the city. Atmosphere intimate and friendly and cosy beer cellar provides meeting place for all. JCR active and well supported.
Fundamentally an academic college with propensity towards classics, but strong in PPE, English, history and medicine and gaining strength in sciences. Workload high in all subjects; library amongst best (open 24 hrs a day).
It's a better-than-average sporting college for its size; facilities good - squash court, boathouse, tennis courts, playing fields and pavilion.
Accommodation amongst Oxford's best, all undergraduates (and most graduates) able to live in. Food compares favourably with other colleges. Discipline tactful; poor work not tolerated. No aristocratic pretensions; public/state school ratio and male/female ratio approx 1:1, but varies year by year.
Tolerant college, if gossipy. Good social life and good ents. No particular political bias - most people are very open-minded.
