Norwich School of Art & Design - Student View

Beautifully set overlooking the River Wensum, and close to the centre of this attractive, old city. There are three sites within 500 yards of each other.

Courses all challenging and diverse; assessment termly. Great opportunities for second years to study in Europe and sometimes worldwide, for a term. Good relationship between staff and students.

There is a very good community and social life within the college (though virtually no sporting facilities). SU has its main hall and bar (with cheap drinks) in an attractive converted church.

SU very active socially, with abundance of gigs; big name bands nearby at UEA. College accommodation very limited; students tend to live in good private rented accommodation within a 15 minute walk of college. Most students come from in and around London but also many international (and mature) students. Free welfare and counselling service available, fully confidential.

Everything is within walking distance and cycling is popular. Many discounts in theatres, cinemas, clothes shops and restaurants in city. Rumoured to be a pub for every day of the week and a church for every week! London two hours by train.
