St Mary's College - Student Life
Housing: Most first years live on-campus. Off-campus through friends, noticeboards, newspapers - expensive area.
Eats: Cheap meals on campus (from £2). Selection of restaurants in Teddington, Twickenham and Richmond; Pizza Express a favourite and many of the Indian & Chinese restaurants.
Drink: Good bar on campus (£2 per drink and many cheaper offers). Red Lion (Teddington), Lloyds No 1 (Twickenham) both popular.
Nightlife: Regular events twice a week on campus; including bands, discos, theme and comedy nights. Good local nightclubs eg Oceana, The Works; only hour to all major London clubs.
Sports: Vast number of clubs and societies involved in both BUSA and SESSA leagues. A number of premiership clubs in all major sports catered for in the London area.
Financial help: Loans, college access fund and others. Jobs: Many jobs available, on and off campus - bars, pubs, supermarkets and of course Twickenham Stadium.
Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition fees) is £3700 (in college accommodation), £3200 (in private accommodation).
Best features: The friendly atmosphere, highly sociable ethos, community spirit.
And worst: None - well, maybe it's an expensive area.
