Drink: Cheaper in SU bars; frequent promos.
Eats: Cheapest food in SU snackbars. Refectories fair priced, good veggies.
Nightlife: SU offers good nights out at most campuses, especially Enfield, Trent Park (live bands, jazz nights) and Tottenham. Off-campus cinemas at Lee Valley, Southbury Road and Finchley.
Sports: Campus sports office at Enfield, Hendon, Tottenham and Trent Park (open air swimming pool, a must in summer).
Travel: Free minibus on and off Trent Park; all campuses accessible by tube, train and bus.
Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition fees) is £5000. Financial help: Access funds; SU emergency loans (£50).
Jobs: Security, bar staff, catering temp work in SU. University events and open days (£5/hour). Off-campus work in pubs, clubs, shops and (occasionally) offices.
Best features: Teaching facilities, tutors, courses recognised by professional bodies; lots of international students; scenic campuses; state-of-the-art learning resource centre.
And worst: Distance from central London; being a new (not red brick) university; being multi-campus.
