Housing: Halls of residence; private accommodation from approx £40 pw.
Eats: Hot/cold food at good prices, sandwiches, snacks all available.
Drink: 2 SU bars (Carling lager £1 a pint. permanent doubles bar at £1.50, selected bottles 3 for £5).
Nightlife: SU events nightly: comedy nights, live music events, karaoke, club nights, hypnotist. Vibrant city nightlife.
Sports: Sports centre, astroturf, gym, fitness suite - all with student membership rates.
Travel: Possible through Hope's One World Project, which has sent students to eg India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Brazil, Malawi, Nigeria. Various BUNAC, Erasmus schemes administered through college.
Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition fees) is £4160 for 38 weeks.
Financial help: Access funds etc.
Jobs: SU employs students; many work in pubs, bars, shops and clubs in town or close to Childwall.
Informal name: Hope.
Best features: The community - everyone knows each other (almost!).
And worst: The neighbours: they always complain.
