Lincoln University - Student View

Main campus, Brayford, is ideally sited at the bottom of modern Lincoln, with fantastic views up to the top of Steep Hill and traditional Lincoln. Cathedral dominates the skyline and provides a wonderful contrast to the expanding contemporary buildings: original building, the Atrium, is most impressive with glass features and airy feel; also learning resources centre, science building and state-of-the-art sports centre.

Accommodation on Brayford campus has great atmosphere. Cathedral campus in beautiful old city, houses art and design. Acres of natural beauty at country seat of Riseholme Campus.

Courses are varied: now possible to study anything from media to law at the Brayford campus, agriculture to equine studies at Riseholme. Changing course in first term generally OK, but not automatic. Plenty of international students, adding to cultural diversity and campus atmosphere.

Student union very active and interested in all aspects of student life; great freshers' weeks. SU bar, the Delph, offers a varied ents programme, comedy club to band night; always packed at the weekends. Student services work closely with SU.

Many sports and societies; sports clubs successful considering the size of university. Amazing growth in nightlife in last few years: many new pubs and bars battling hard for the student market. There is plenty to do and many laughs to be had.
