Made up of four major sites, three in Watford and one in Hemel Hempstead. Over 12,000 students (full and part-time), including many international students. No halls of residence although student services has a long register of private accommodation nearby. Campuses are all near the town centres so there are plenty of places to eat, drink and party.
Watford has two major nightclubs and a string of bars: Destiny, Area, Jongleurs Comedy Club, Rileys Snooker Club and Lloyd 1. Countless takeaways and restaurants in both towns, so you'll never go hungry.
Excellent sporting facilities at Leggatts campus in Watford (gym and rugby/football pitches); leisure centre next door has swimming pool and badminton courts. SU runs its own sports including football, rugby, basketball, netball.
Endless job opportunities and scope to shop-till-you-drop in shopping centres, Harlequin at Watford, Marlowes at Hemel; both have loads of well-known stores and other services.
Great atmosphere on campus and most teachers are approachable; good library on campus. College's media, art & design courses are world renowned. Very easy to change course if you're not happy.
SU is non-political but represents and supports all types of students, with elected officers on each campus; has recreational areas at each site with plenty to do, people to meet, advice, support.
SU runs regular ents throughout the year eg live gigs on and oft campus; trips abroad and boat parties always popular.
