Housing: New halls 5 mins' walk; others a bus ride away. Accommodation relatively cheap and easy to find in the Greenwich area.

Eats: College canteen, many inexpensive restaurants, pubs and cafes.

Drinks: Many pubs close by and increasingly giving student offers throughout the week.

Nightlife: Regular SU parties in Greenwich and closer to town.

Sports: Active SU arrangements for football, hockey, basketball, tennis and a local gym with student rates.

Travel: Easy to travel into town via DLR, bus or train (10-20 mins). Excellent night bus services.

Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition fees) is £6750 (in college accommodation for 40 weeks).

Financial help: Good, with a supportive SU committee and warden.

Jobs: Some part-time work in college, private teaching, gigs and bar work easy to find.

Best features: Small, family-like atmosphere.

And worst: Noise from film crews on location.
