Founded: 1932.

Site: Single site in 60 acres of parkland, north London.

How to get there: Underground to Southgate (Piccadilly line), then walk or bus (about 1 hr from Westminster). Special features: Exists to train people for Christian Ministry.

Academic features: Courses in biblical studies, Christian doctrine, church history, preaching, youth and children's ministry training, ethics, biblical/pastoral counselling, New Testament Greek, biblical Hebrew; some modules taken with Middlesex University. Mature students may be admitted without the formal qualifications. Successful DipHE candidates can transfer to degree course.

Awarding body: Middlesex University.

Main undergraduate award: BA.

Length of courses: 3 years; others 1-4 years.

Library & information services: 40,000 volumes, 180 periodicals, 30 study places; course books placed on temporary reference: tape library, video library. IT service separate. Ratio 1:10 workstations to students; 3 machines have access to library, 8 to the internet; open 24 hours/day. Staff support from part-time IT technician. Library induction for new students; IT skills courses can be arranged via Middlesex University.

Study abroad: American exchange programme.

Student advice & services: Chaplain, personal tutor. Special categories: Houses for married couples plus families; creche.

Careers: Advice service. Vocational placement scheme. Church of England training college.

Sporting facilities: All-weather tennis courts; football/rugby field on site; municipal squash courts and swimming pool nearby; also cricket pitch.

Accommodation: Most students in college accommodation. Additional rental for flats/houses. Few students live at home. The annual fee covers a room in college (study bedroom for those that need it, a study for those living off-campus).

Living expenses budget: No College recommended minimum.

Term-time work: College allows term-time work for full-time students if absolutely necessary.

Fees: All students pay £7865 pa, which covers tuition, term-time meals and a room in college.
