Slade - Student View
Small art school within a large university. It's in a beautiful setting in the main quadrangle of UCL. Undergraduate and graduate studios are arranged into painting, sculpture and fine art media. There are facilities for electronic media, sound, photography, print, film and video, bronze casting and general workshops.
The history and theory of art area provides relevant and contemporary lectures. All the teaching staff are practising artists and tutor/student relationship is good. You are assigned a personal tutor who you see regularly but you can also arrange tutorials with both permanent and visiting tutors. There is a permanent life room.
Being within UCL means you have access to a good library and you can take subsidiary courses for a term within the BA degree, such as psychology or anatomy.
