School of Pharmacy - Student View
It's next to Russell Square within 5 mins of Euston and Kings Cross stations. A small independent college of London University, specialising in pharmacy. Has its own library and also access to UCL medical library. Two computer rooms, both with email and Internet access.
Workload fairly easy going if you keep on top of it; possible to include 6 months studying abroad. Many students come from the London area, though there is a large percentage of international students. Very few drop out and staff are approachable. Students from outside London are guaranteed one year in intercollegiate halls, 5 mins' walk; many students live at home (the cheapest option).
SU runs a number of societies including Christian, Afro-Caribbean, Asian and Chinese.
Few sports (mainly football) but students can join any of the dozens run by ULU.
Union bar open every Friday, ULU every night. Many pubs and bars locally and Leicester Square (15 mins away) has many clubs. Odeon at Tottenham Court Road is cheap; others at Piccadilly Circus.
It's a very friendly college where virtually everyone knows everyone else by the end of first year.
