Based in the heart of London, it's an art and design college which is both ancient and modern - true of the buildings and the staff alike.

Students are a mix of ages, backgrounds and interests, reflected in a diversity of personal styles; many are from Asia and the Far East. Good staff/student ratio and the quality of teaching varies within each department; constant strain on the limited resources available. Students have to pay for the majority of the materials they use, so it's expensive to study art or design at degree level.

There's a bar at Southampton Row. The university SU also runs major one-off parties in massive venues (eg Ministry of Sound, Heaven, Hanover Grand) as well as ents such as DJ competitions, video and film nights, games and cocktail nights. It also runs sports and societies eg football, drama. netball.
