Eats: Rosie's Restaurant at Southampton Row site (meal for £3+). Surrounded by sandwich shops and greasy-spoons (£2+). Food For Thought at Heals Yard has vegetarian deals for students after 2 pm.

Drink: Bar at Southampton Row, uni SU bar; pubs and bars in surrounding central London eg Prince's Head.

Nightlife: Cheap and cheerful college ents. Boiler Room on Fridays popular. Film club shows cheap and unusual films (Tuesdays); student deals at Prince Charles and MGM cinemas.

Locals: There are none!

Sports: Aerobics, football, yoga, circuit training; student membership to various sports and leisure centres.

Travel: London Transport expensive; get a bike.

Financial help: Access funds; limited in-house funds.

Jobs: SU has original jobs; work available in bar, distribution and events staff.

Best features: Creative vibe.

And worst: Lack of resources.
