Royal Agricultural College - Student View
Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, on the outskirts of Cirencester, it has a compact campus in private grounds. Staff are very approachable and most have wide professional and industrial experience.
College farms 770 hectares on a commercial basis which is used to demonstrate modern farming practices. Students come from all over the British Isles, Commonwealth and other countries, with significant numbers from SE Asia and South Africa; also a number of mature students. College helps find holiday work and jobs for graduates.
A legendary social scene exists, with May Ball a highlight. Self-discipline is required when it comes to coping with the excellent social calendar organised by the Student Union and keeping abreast of academic work. Locally, there are several student-friendly pubs and nightclubs where the 'aggies' are made more than welcome.
College does not involve itself in politics. An exceptional former student network exists and all graduates become life members of the RACA (Royal Agricultural College Alumni).
