Locals: Friendly. No problem areas for students who behave themselves.

Sports: Regular sports, fully equipped fitness room.

Travel: Good rail and road network. 35 mins from Stansted Airport.

Financial help: 2 college-financed funds.

Jobs: Plenty in Chelmsford temp agency, plus SU runs part-time work advert board.

Best features: Very attractive site, great atmosphere.

And worst: Car parking.
