Housing: Fairly readily available; see SU noticeboards, Evening Herald (Thurs).
Eats: Curries, excellent food on Barbican; Jake's is brilliant.
Drink: Excellent range of ciders, local Dartmoor ales and Sutton ales. Union bar is best value in town. Some clubs have promo nights weekly.
Nightlife: SU has weekly band nights. Good variety of nightclubs. Couple of cinemas and good theatres.
Sports: Uni sports centre (3 miles away); squash courts on campus; excellent watersports facilities.
Travel: Frequent trains and buses to London.
Financial help: Help from SU advice centre.
Jobs: Lots in SU. local pubs etc. Summer jobs not impossible to find - a few seasonal tourism jobs and lots of agencies including SU Plymouth Employment Register.
Annual living costs: The minimum amount students say you need to live on each year (covering all living expenses but excluding tuition fees) is £5500 (in uni accommodation), £5000 (in private accommodation).
Bets features: The Barbican; and the university being such a big part of Plymouth.
And worst: The weather.
Good news: Improved communication between the unions on 3 main sites.
