Falmouth College of Arts - Student View

Nestling near the bottom of the Cornish peninsula and surrounded by beautiful golden beaches, stunning countryside and where the culture is rich with history. Student population spread across two campuses - at Woodlane and the fantastic Combined Universities of Cornwall (CUC) development at Tremough in Penryn.

At first glance Falmouth seems a quiet town, but it can be just as exciting as anywhere else - you just have to seek out the entertainment. Falmouth Art Centre holds its own shows, as well as student exhibitions, and also has a small cinema showing classic and up-to-the-minute films. If all this isn't to your taste then there are plenty of pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants in which to socialise. The town has venues to suit all tastes and budgets.

The Students' Union is the driving force behind student entertainment. organising all manner of events from casino nights to Rocky Horror theme nights. Great facilities for entertainment in the Student Centre at Tremough campus: a stage, a DJ booth, a refectory and two bars (each selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, coffees, hot chocolate etc). The bar/refectory at Woodlane, plays host to visiting DJ's and local band events.

Lots of opportunities to become involved with the SU on different levels and to join numerous clubs and societies. SU is dedicated to ensuring students enjoy their time at Falmouth and to enhance the student experience by offering a varied and complete service. SU and student services presence on both campuses, where the door is always open for those feeling down or who just need someone to talk to.

Many students like Falmouth for its relaxed attitude; even when graduations have come and gone you may still see past students living, working and visiting the town.
