Admission: Entry in all subjects is via conditional offers based on A-levels; STEP may be used only for mathematics. Most candidates interviewed. Several open days each year for prospective candidates.
Scholarships: Awarded on performance in university examinations. Bursaries available for eligible students.
Travel grants: Awards from college expedition fund and other funds.
Library & information service: Undergraduate library with copies of all course books; full borrowing facilities both in and out of term. Law library. Separate IT service, access 24 hours/day. Ratio 1:2 workstations to students; computer suite with micro-computers linked to university network; 240 points with access to library and internet. IT support from 1 full-time computer officer.
Eating arrangements: Self-service for all meals; formal dinner also available.
Gate/guest hours: Very relaxed.
Other college facilities: Bar, 220-seat theatre, squash courts, table tennis, croquet, punts, organ. piano, dark room, launderette, rooms for TV, college nursery; boathouse and playing fields with tennis courts nearby.
Accommodation: All students in college accommodation (sets and bedsits, medieval and modern): £590 per term average. No first degree students live at home.
Term-time work: College does not allow term-time work outside college. Some work available in college bars and computer room.
Financial help: Several funds to help those who suffer financial difficulty.
