Cambridge New Hall - Student View

All-women colleges are fast becoming a rarity; but New Hall is thriving. There are numerous societies, including many successful sports clubs, and many students belong to university societies and sports teams. There is an effective welfare system and student/fellow relationships are good.

College has a vibrant, friendly, relaxed atmosphere and benefits from one of the best collections of contemporary feminist art in the world. New Hall manages to avoid the insularity of many other Cambridge colleges; intercollegiate relationships are excellent ensuring many opportunities for socialising outside college.

Students are fortunate in having 24 hour facilities including library, laundry, computer rooms (and centrally located chocolate and icecream machines!).

Cafeteria food is varied and wholesome and there are kitchens throughout the college if you prefer to cook for yourself. New buildings offer high quality, ensuite accommodation.

College offers all tripes subjects and will arrange supervisors from outside college who are specialists in particular subjects.
