Cambridge Magdalene - Student View

With the longest river frontage of any college it is an extremely attractive place to read for a degree. A mixed college with a broad cross-section of students. It has a friendly, family atmosphere and students from different year groups live and socialise together.

Sports facilities continue to be of a high quality. Rugby, hockey and rowing are traditionally strong. On the arts side, drama, journalism and music are fully catered for and well supported. Law is a particular strength, along with engineering and architecture.

The college bar is very popular and formal hall has a deservedly good reputation being candlelit, cheap and available seven nights a week. There is also a canteen and shared kitchens for those who want to cook for themselves.

Every student is housed; room quality varies greatly from the plush to store-box but all are comfortable and many have great character; all have a fridge and internet and phone connection points. Washing machine facilities are good and reasonably priced; there's also a laundry service. Married quarters for those merely contemplating marriage.
