Cambridge Homerton - Student View

The newest Cambridge college and already making a name for itself, with high involvement in many university-wide organisations. Whilst retaining its link with education-based courses (and a centre of excellence for education-related study), about one third of applicants now apply to read single Honours courses. Changing courses is possible if space and qualifications allow.

Members of HSHS Fulbourn and Peterborough health campuses are also affiliate members of Homerton Union of Students.

College combines the formalities and traditions of the university with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and a desire to be a new and vibrant college. The campus reflects this, combining Victorian buildings with excellent state-of-the-art accommodation (most ensuite) and spacious, beautifully maintained grounds.

About half an hour's walk, 10 minutes' cycle or one free bus ride from the town centre, it has a degree of anonymity whilst maintaining its link to the university. Easy walking distance to the railway station and very near the new cinema, bowling and restaurant complex.

College has active, progressive and supportive SU, with the university's only full-time sabbatical president, and represents both undergraduates and graduates via an active and friendly Exec team.
