Cambridge Corpus Christi - Student View

In the middle of Cambridge with only 250+ undergraduates, it is one of the smallest and most central colleges, with a reputation for friendliness. The buildings comprise Old Court, the oldest court in Cambridge, and the gothic New Court.

Accommodation varies from old and spacious rooms to a few that are pretty small. All have internet and phone connections. Furthest hostel is 5 minutes' walk away.

Good quality food from hall, with vegetarian options and popular guest nights. Snacks from bar throughout the day. Bar is popular and offers occasional events and special entertainments.

Rugby and football pitches, squash and tennis courts and rowing machines at sports ground, 15 minutes away. Boat club shared with 3 other colleges; many continue rowing after novice term.

A strong college for drama with the college society, The Fletcher Players, running the college-owned Playroom. One of the best student-run chapel choirs and all are encouraged to play in informal concerts and recitals. Theatre for plays, talks by visiting speakers and presentations by the college film society.

College library is small but most departmental libraries are close by. Undergraduates are discouraged from keeping cars. Cambridge has high workloads generally and Corpus is no exception, though the college is continually seeking to improve support for students. Most people can expect to have some but not all supervisions within college.

College deals sympathetically with money problems: bursaries are available, along with travel awards and prizes for performance in tripos.
