Bristol Old Vic - Student Life

Housing: No college accommodation but accommodation officer helps.

Eats: Cheap snacks and sandwiches on premises.

Drink: Beaufort Arms, Renatos, King's Arms, Channings. Bristol packed with bars, restaurants etc.

Nightlife: Theatre Royal and New Vic, Watershed, Arnolfini. 5 cinemas including multiplex, ice skating, go-karting, bowling, quasar, etc.

Sports: Both universities have large sporting facilities; city packed with health clubs and gyms.

Financial help: Some government support; number of school funds and trusts. Many students fundraise extensively prior to joining BOVTS.

Jobs: Front of house work at the Bristol Old Vic, bar/restaurant work, hotel security, supermarket staff. Very difficult with long working day - weekends best. Almost impossible in final year.
